Availability

Your vehicle availability will show the Karshare community when they can book your car. You will not get rental bookings outside of these times so you can always use your car when you need it.

Setting general availability 

  1. Navigate to the ‘My Cars’ section of the mobile app or website

  2. Select ‘Calendar'

  3. Select the date you would like to set your car as available

  4. Select the start and end times for the period you would like to make your car available

  5. Select ‘Update General Availability’

Karshare suggests you set your car as available for at least 4 weekdays and 2 weekend days each month

Snooze


Setting your car to snooze is a way of pausing the availability of your vehicle. When snoozed your listing won’t show up in search results. Any bookings already made will however need to be honoured.

Setting Snooze

  1. Navigate to the ‘My Cars’ section of the mobile or web app

  2. Select Change Availability

  3. Select Snooze

  4. Choose the date and time to which you would like to snooze to

  5. You will see that your Availability shows as Snoozed

Unavailability

 

Setting your availability will automatically make the dates outside those periods unavailable. However, there will be times where you have set your car as available but you really need it.

 

Setting unavailability

 

  1. Navigate to the ‘My Cars’ section of the mobile or web app

  2. Select ‘Calendar’

  3. Select the date you would like to set your car as unavailable

  4. Select ‘Add unavailability’

  5. Select the start and end times for the period 

  6. Select ‘Add unavailability’ again

This is a helpful tool for adding 1 or 2 hours of unavailability on a certain day. It can also be used to set longer periods of unavailability
