If your vehicle is damaged during a rental booking, you should report this to us within 24 hours of the end of the rental, but the sooner the better.
It's important that these timeframes are adhered to ensure any damage is quickly attributed to the correct rental booking, as well as ensuring the deposit has not been released back to the renter.
We will then investigate the damage using the condition report photos that are taken at the start and end of each rental booking which the renter has to send to us.
How do I report damage to my car?
To report damage you must provide photo evidence of the damage.
We ask that you send any reports of damage through to us by using our simple form which ensures it will be quickly dealt with by the correct team.
Yes, you can also access this form by clicking on 'Raise a ticket' link in the bookings section of the app.
What happens next?
When we have received the photos of the damage, we will open an investigation to determine if the renter caused the damage to your car.
We will look at the photos taken at the start and end of each rental booking to see if the damage was present already or if it was caused during the rental booking.
If the damage was caused during the rental booking, we will arrange and pay for a repair for your car unless it is alloy damage in which case we have a different process.
What's the process for alloy damage?
For alloy damage instead of repairing the damage each time, and taking your car off the platform while the repairs are made, the repairs will be done every 6 months.
You'll still need to complete our simple form when the damage happens, and to complete this no later than 24 hours after the end of the rental, so we can investigate and ensure we charge the correct renter.
Once 6 months is up, and there is alloy damage previously confirmed by us as qualifying for a repair, the quickest way for the damage to be fixed is for you to arrange for the repairs yourself - you will need to send us an invoice using our simple form for us to approve before going ahead with the repairs. Alternatively please contact us after 6 months and we will arrange for the repairs to be carried out on your behalf.
Will this affect my insurance?
Your car is fully insured under our insurance policy during all rental bookings. Your personal insurance and no claims policy will not be affected if your car is damaged during a rental booking.
