Smoking and Vaping Policy

Smoking and vaping are not allowed in Karshare vehicles without the express permission of the owner. 

Renters should filter their vehicle search by applying the “allows smoking” filter as some owners will have stated this in their preferences. Renters may only smoke in these specific vehicles.

What happens if an owner reports smoking?

If an owner reports that a renter has been smoking in their vehicle without their permission and can provide evidence, the renter will be charged the cost to clean the car to remove the scent of the smoke (which can be circa £100) plus a £10 Karshare admin fee and a £10 fee for the inconvenience to the owner.
