Every rental booking will come with a set amount of mileage determined by the owners set daily mileage allowance.
How is the mileage calculated?
Owners will set a daily mileage allowance which is used to calculate mileage for bookings of any length.
A rental booking of 8 hours will receive the full daily allowance. Anything below that will receive a percentage of the total daily allowance.
e.g. If the daily mileage allowance is set at 240 miles and the car is rented for 3 hours, the daily allowance would be 90 miles (3/8 of the daily allowance)
The same logic would apply to longer bookings:
e.g. If the daily mileage allowance is set at 240 miles and the car is rented for 28 hours, the allowance would be 360 miles (1 day at 240 miles + 4/8 of the daily allowance)
The allowance is for for the duration of the rental so if you use more miles on 1 day and less miles on another day as long as you are not over the total limit you will not be charged extra.
How do I add additional mileage to my booking?
Owners set the daily mileage limit and we are not able to adjust that. This means that if you want additional mileage you have two options:
-
Go over your mileage allowance and pay £0.30p per extra mile driven
-
Extend your booking period to give you extra mileage
